How to Create your QR Code
How it Works
- 1
Input Your Data
Type or paste your destination URL, vCard data, SMS instructions, or plain text into the Input Data field. The QR code on the right will react and generate instantly. - 2
Customize the Code
Select your desired Error Correction Level. If you plan to print this QR code outside where it might get damaged, we recommend using 'High (30%)'. If printing small, select 'Low (7%)' for a less dense matrix. - 3
Download PNG
Select your desired export resolution (up to HD Print Quality) and click the 'Download PNG' button to save the file securely to your local machine.
Understanding Error Correction
| Correction Level | Damage Recovery | Ideal Use Case |
|---|---|---|
| Level L (Low) | ~ 7% Recovery | Digital screens where damage is impossible. Results in the cleanest, simplest matrix. |
| Level M (Medium) | ~ 15% Recovery | Standard marketing materials (Business cards, flyers). This is the default. |
| Level Q (Quarter) | ~ 25% Recovery | Industrial settings or environments where the code might get slightly scuffed or dirty. |
| Level H (High) | ~ 30% Recovery | Heavy-duty usage (Construction sites) or if you plan to manually overlay a logo in the center. |

This generator creates "Static" QR codes. Because the literal URL string is permanently encoded directly into the black and white pixel matrix, it cannot be changed once generated. If your destination link changes, you will need to generate a new code.
The visual density of a QR code is determined by two factors: the amount of data you input, and the Error Correction Level. A very long URL combined with a "High" error correction setting will create a massive, highly-dense grid of pixels. To simplify the look, use a URL shortener first.
No limits whatsoever. Because this tool runs entirely on your local machine and does not use server resources, it is 100% free and unmetered. Generate as many codes as you need.
Absolutely. By selecting the "HD (Print)" 1024px output resolution, the downloaded PNG file is highly suitable for professional commercial printing on flyers, business cards, and billboards.
